Stupid Sundays

Posted on Sunday 18th February 2007 at 00:00
When did Sunday turn into 'Chore Day?? I'm pretty sure Sunday was invented as a day for relaxing, having fun, eating a nice large meal and watching Top Gear. At least, that's how it was when I was young.

These days all I ever seem to find time to do on a Sunday is catch up on stuff. Relaxing is now called 'hovering', having fun becomes 'tidying the house' and eating a nice large meal 'having a snack in between taking the washing out of the machine and hanging it up to dry.?

Where did we all go wrong? Right now I want to finish writing this post, sort out my bloody car tax, read for an hour or two and then cook a yummy dinner. Instead I've got to hoover the whole house, sort out my room and get two loads of washing done, just so that I can be roughly organised enough to get through whatever Monday decides to throw at me.

Whose bloody stupid idea was this?
